Objections

The hard questions, answered straight.

These are the objections owners raise about conversation coaching. None of them get a marketing answer here.

SEVEN ON RECORDNO MARKETING ANSWERS

Everything on the record. On the record

Seven objections, seven honest answers.

7 ON RECORD
OBJ-01My techs will think I'm spying on them.

The straight answer

That reaction is earned by systems that record without ever coaching. Goose is built the other way around: employees get their own summary, recording runs through a consent workflow with employee notice, an opt-out path exists, and no score can trigger an employment decision without a human reviewing it. If you record and never coach, the tool is being used wrong, and that is one of the things the BBTT success commitment exists to catch.

OBJ-02Isn't recording illegal?

The straight answer

Consent law varies by state and by jurisdiction, and we will not tell you it is universally legal. It isn't. Goose supports a consent workflow, customer and employee notice, and jurisdiction logic so the rules that apply where your team works are part of the process rather than an afterthought. Confirm your obligations with your own counsel; nothing here is legal advice.

OBJ-03AI can't judge nuance.

The straight answer

It doesn't have to. Goose maps stages, scores against the sales process you defined, and surfaces evidence: the objection that appeared, the talk ratio, the language used around value. Judgment stays with the manager reading it. The point is that the manager now gets to exercise judgment on far more conversations than they could ever attend.

OBJ-04Customers will object to being recorded.

The straight answer

Some will, which is why notice and an opt-out are part of the workflow rather than buried. A customer who declines is simply not recorded. In practice, notice given plainly by a professional in uniform is a much smaller moment than most owners expect.

OBJ-05My managers will misuse the scores.

The straight answer

This is the failure mode we design against. Scores are coaching evidence, never a verdict; employment decisions require human review; audit logs record who looked at what. Scoring without coaching, or recording without review, is exactly the pattern the BBTT Contractor Success Scoreboard is watching for, and it triggers outreach, not silence.

OBJ-06Transcripts will expose sensitive data.

The straight answer

Transcripts are encrypted, access is role-based, sensitive detail can be redacted, retention and deletion are settings you control, and every access is logged. You can also export or delete your records rather than leaving them to accumulate.

OBJ-07A score will punish people with different personalities.

The straight answer

The scoring is yours, so it measures your process rather than a personality type. Goose scores whether discovery happened, whether the problem was confirmed, whether options were presented, whether the next step was set: behaviors a quiet technician and a gregarious one can both perform well. And because a human reviews before anything consequential, the person reading knows the difference.
